Vans Dias
The thought of being able to create anything their imagination could come up with is intriguing for a child. Growing up, Vans would always wonder why only the Ken dolls wore suits and not the Barbies, to which their mother once responded “When you grow up, you can make whatever you want to.” These words fueled a dream in their young mind. Vans now has the opportunity to fulfill that dream and set an example to the upcoming generation who dream the same. Fashion isn’t binary for them. It is an expression of one’s individuality, hence it can be anything they deem fit. Their aim is to break the social construct of male/female stereotypes and build a clothing line that indulges gender fluidity; a fashion realm with no specific labels where people can wear what they feel comfortable in. The fashion industry has a colossal role in progressing the society and Vans wants to be a part of that change.
